Mother Support
No one understands quite as much as another mother what it is like to have a child leave for a combat zone. No one knows what it is like to have a veteran return -- not quite the same. No one else hears the ring of the phone in quite the same way.
Caring and Sharing
Grand Valley Blue Star Mothers meets monthly to socialize and discuss our joys and fears. The meetiongs are the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the First Christian Church on North 1st at 7 pm. Bring some finger food.
Deployment Readiness
Grand Valley Blues Star Mothers has created a deployment package filled with information and resources for member mothers. These are presented to the members who have a child deployed or deploying.
Grand Valley Blue Star Mothers also has frequent events that allow the moms to get together for support and camaraderie as well as many events supporting the troops and veterans.
Once you're child is in the military they all become your children.
