Postage Funds are Needed
Grand Valley Blue Star Mothers has been
sending care packages to local service members stationed around the world since
2007. The postage for a single box is
approximately $13 and in 2011 we spent $3207.95 in postage. We traditionally ship boxes 5 times per year
and have had as many as 135 boxes in a single shipment.

Grand Valley Blue Star Mothers raised $1400 at the silent auction in 2011 and $700 was donated to the VNWMP Scholarship Fund.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run – Grand Junction, CO is 5k
walk/run event honoring the courage and dedication of first responders,
our military men and women and their families.
GVBSM hosted the first annual shadow run on 9-11-11. We sponsored a local veteran/firefighter to attend the NY event.
Our 2012 run will be held on Sept 8, 2012
All proceeds will be split 50/50 with the Siller Foundation and Grand Valley Blue Star Mothers.
The Siller Foundation supports firefighters and veterans and is currently building homes for triple and quadruple amputees of the current wars.
